Item Description
1.25" w/St. Louis Button Co. back paper. Text in center reads "Theme: Education And Vocational Guidance." Dated March 25-27, 1937. The Tennessee A & I College was founded in 1912 as a two-year school, which eventually became a four-year school in 1928. It was founded as an all-black school that in 1968 officially changed its name to Tennessee State University. It is the only state-funded HBCU in Tennessee.
