Item Description
14x22" original cardboard window card printed by "Central Show Printing Co., Inc., Mason City, Iowa" advertising "In Person The Fabulous Ink Spots Plus Two Variety Acts From The Ed Sullivan All Stars" on "Sun. Nov. 16" in Coshocton, Ohio. The show place/time and admission are all blank and only the sponsor "Lions Club" has been printed in red. The Ink Spots made television history on June 27th, 1948 when they were the first black performers to appear on national television on Ed Sullivan's "Toast of the Town" and would appear two more times on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1950 and 1952. Stark white background features bold black and red lettering w/group photo of the band posed w/instruments in top left. Lt. handling wear w/corner tip bends/bumps and scuff mark under "Acts" along w/horizontal scattered ink across "K S P O" a printed. VF.
