3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 11 team members in full uniform along w/one gentleman dressed in formal attire along w/a young mascot posed inside a studio setting w/period baseball equipment in the foreground. Identification at bottom of photo reads "Brattleboro Athletics" along w/the player's last name and position on the diamond. Handwritten note in ink w/some smudging appears along the right border. We have been unable to identify any professional baseball team from Brattleboro during this era so most likely a local town ball team taking on all comers in their local Vermont area. Staining visible in the upper left-hand corner, moderate, even corner wear present. Undivided postcard back has been postally used w/a cancellation date of July 24, 1906. Fine.
