2x3". Little is known about this issue. The complete set consists of  231 "cards" that are actually stickers to be used with an accompanying album. There are subsets for the Santurce All-Star Team (#1-#9), Ponce All-Star Team (#10-#18), and Roberto Clemente (#198-#206) composite photos. Several former Negro League players are found within the set, as are a number of young major leaguers that were getting in extra Winter work in Puerto Rico.

Gossage, like many prospects of his generation, would often sharpen his skills in the offseason by continuing to play. In 1972, a collectible was produced that predates his 1973 Topps rookie card. The 1972 Puerto Rican Winter League Sticker is one that stands out amongst the hundreds of Gossage cards and collectibles made during his playing career. It is, arguably, the toughest of all Gossage items to find for collectors focused on the flame-throwing reliever.

Richard Michael "Goose" Gossage (born July 5, 1951) is an American former baseball pitcher who played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1972 and 1994. He pitched for nine different teams, spending his best years with the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres. Career highlights include nine time All-Star, three time AL saves leader and one time World Series champion. Gossage was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008. He now works in broadcasting.
