Item Description
Single-sided 11x14" glossy paper award featuring image of figural Superman award. Sent to wholesalers and retailers in the 1970s by the Independent News Co., Inc., a magazine/comic book distribution business owned by National Periodical Publications, the parent company of DC Comics. Independent News distributed all DC publications, as well as those of a few rival publishers, in addition to pulp and popular magazines from its founding in 1932 until c. 1970. Award has some corner tip wear w/small crease at lower right. Fine/VF but would make for nice framed display. Rare promotional piece we have only offered a few times. Great piece for display.
