Large and impressive 23x28" cloth mat w/17x22.5" opening displays mixed media original art for cover to Aug. 1973 issue of Amazing Science Fiction paperback digest magazine (Vol. 47 #2). Art is by Mike Hinge (1931-2003), a New Zealand-born graphic designer and illustrator known for his psychedelic-inspired sci-fi magazine covers of the 1970s. His style is on full display here, as illustration shows spaceman entering space vehicle as another zooms by for "To Walk With Thunder" cover story by Dean McLaughlin.
