Item Description
7" long. Dated June 18, 1912. A few vertical pulls along the bottom and area along top w/ ribbon loss. Text on ribbon remains bold. VG. The South Dakota delegation was split between Roosevelt and LaFollette on the first ballot at the RNC. Taft won a majority on the first back, winning the nomination and spurring TR to run on an independent ticket. Wayne Otchis Collection.
