The 1908-10 American Caramel (E91) Set C baseball set is one of three sets from American Caramel issued from 1908 to 1910 and featured predominantly lesser known players though it did possess a handful of Hall of Famers. Each front displays a full-color artist rendition of a player either in-action or posed.

Charles Louis "Deacon" Phillippe (originally Phillippi) (May 23, 1872 - March 30, 1952) was an American Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Louisville Colonels and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Career highlghts include being a four time NL champion, pitched a no-hitter on May 25, 1899 and one time World Series champion.
