2.675x3.25". This set was issued one per box on the backs of various Royal Dessert products over a period of three years. The basic set contains 24 players, however a number of variations create the much higher total for the set. In 1950, Royal issued cards with two different tints - black and white with red, or blue and white with red. Over the next two years, various sentences of the cards' biographies were updated; up to three times in some cases. Some players from the set left the majors after 1950 and others were apparently never updated, but the 23 biography updates that do exist, added to the original 24 cards issued in 1950, give the set a total of 48 cards. Cards are blank-backed with personal and playing biographies alongside the card front photos. Some sample cards can be found with advertising for the desserts on back; they are valued at about double regular card prices.

George Kell played for various teams throughout his 15 year MLB career. He later went on to be the Detroit Tigers Radio broadcaster for 37 years. George Kell was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1983.
