Item Description
.75" to 7/8". Cello portrait stud has even aging, otherwise light wear. Extremely Fine. Allison name stickpin has only light wear. Exc. Metal clip back pin has only light wear. Exc. Allison was a Republican Senator from Iowa and a hopeful at the 1896 Republican National Convention that nominated William McKinley. The dark horse candidate's support faded when it became evident the McKinley would be nominated on the first ballot. Allison ended up receiving 35.5 votes in a distant fifth place.
