2.25x3.75" card stock w/a blank back. Hand-written in ink information as issued includes the recipient name "Tom Reekie", "Feb. 1954", "C. Brooks CJ. Perry" and printed text info includes "Jim Rivera Fan Club THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT...IS A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING FOR THE YEAR ENDING...CO-PREXIES.' Very rare membership club card, not just the only third party graded example, but the only one we have seen or offered in our 58 years. Card has rounded corners as made. Card remains bright and clean. Eye appeal far exceeds the designated grade, which takes into account added typed/inked information as issued. However, this should not be looked at as a defect.
Manuel Joseph "Jungle Jim" Rivera (1921 - 2017) was an American professional baseball outfielder. He played for three Major League Baseball (MLB) teams over ten seasons. Career highlights include being the AL stole base leader in 1955.
