Item Description
At the turn of the 20th century, the working class riders of street cars, trolleys and buses were known as "strap hangers". In cities across America, they banded together to fight fare increases, even if only a penny, as a penny was precious. This 1.25" carries a Buffalo, NY union bug for all to see just below the slogan "WE WALK". Light surface wear and has been flattened to the point that the spring pin cannot be removed ( but well positioned). Clean and glossy. Rare. See previous related button.
