Shop dummies are mock-ups used by the editorial staff to correct comic book front cover art and color problems, and assign ads or one-page comic strips to the inside and back, using color proofs, blueline prints, and tearsheets. All proofs are heavily marked with notes and marks, plus tape, staples, and glue stains. These are unique items, and allow a look inside the printing process used by Western Publishing to produce each comic. Lt. aging/handling wear. Some creasing.
