Item Description
1.25" w/"New York City 435" on curl. Youthful real photo portrait of the future President dominates this bold design. When Roosevelt was chosen to be James M. Cox's running mate, he was only 38 years old. While the choice surprised many insiders his family name carried notoriety, critical home state of New York and as a Wilsonian moderate he helped balance the ticket. Ultimately the Cox/Roosevelt ticket would suffer a landslide defeat but FDR toured and spoke widely establishing a national presence among Democrats. These experiences and the connections made during the 1920 campaign helped inform FDR's approach to future campaigns. A well-centered example w/bold contrast. Smooth and glossy. NM.
