11x14" matted production cel featuring Nightcrawler for the "Danger Room" sequence from the pilot episode. Titled "Pryde Of The X-Men," it originally aired Sept. 16, 1989 and was intended to launch the new Stan Lee series. However, it never materialized, and Marvel Productions would have to go back to the drawing board for 1992's X-Men animated series. In this scene at the 5:52 mark, Nightcrawler has just teleported while being pursued by an Aztec stone monster. The character images are hand-painted on cel, paired w/matching print bkg. The setup bears a Marvel seal at bottom right and has a COA on back under shrinkwrap. Shrinkwrap in torn on one end and more so on back. Matted to 7.5x9.5" Lt. aging. Cel is in Fine condition.
