Item Description
1"(25mm) silvered brass. Listed in DeWitt/Sullivan 1860-107. Lincoln portrait has only a faint diagonal surface mark. Hamlin portrait is as nice as they come. Both images retain a watery sheen in reflected light. The so called bulbous "doughnut" shell frame is superb retaining much of its original silver flashing. Overall Exc. A choice example of this rare 1860 badge that can be paired w/matching Bell, Douglas, and Breckenridge examples.
