Item Description
23x31". Published by Ensigns & Thayer. "Jos. Ward, 52 Cornhill St., Boston." in bottom margin at center. Features a colorful portrait of General Taylor in center w/vignettes of Taylor commanding troops in various battles, including the Battle of Buena Vista, the Siege of Monterrey, and the Capture of General Le Vega, among others. Moderate edge wear, most notably a tear along the top edge that has been stabilized by tape on reverse. Diagonal crease along bottom edge in center. Tiny section of loss in bottom right corner, otherwise moderate wear and handling. Technically Fine, but will frame above grade. Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
