Item Description
1.75” w/W&H back paper. Gal and her donkey were a top seller for W&H in 1898-1900 from the east coast west at least as far as Kansas and Illinois. This is the first we’ve seen with this imprint “Hello, Bill Meet Me At The Belleville Street Fair”. Belleville, IL was quite the button town w/ W&H producing several designs for their events. This is a mirror gloss NM example. One known. See next two lots.
