27x41" original green title style one sheet poster for Dawn of the Dead designed by Lanny Powers. First one-sheet created for the movie and harder to come by than the red title style. The consensus is that at first, there were solely 16mm prints for the original U.S. release of the movie- it was viewed primarily in drive-in theaters and "B" movie theaters which didn't show the big studio movies. Theater owners did not believe it would do so well, initially. This 16mm print was created from the Cannes Film Festival version which was 139 minutes long. Once the film became a hit, it was given a wide release in 35mm with a version that had been trimmed to 127 minutes, and a second one-sheet (with the same image, but a red title) was created for that 35mm release. Fully folded as issued. General handling wear and tiny nicks at center fold intersections. In very fine condition and the perfect item for any true horror connoisseur. A perfect candidate for framing.
