6x12". Embossed text. Produced by the Southern California Automobile Club in January of 1963. 1,000 plates were made w/numbers ranging from 000-999. The prized plate was JFK 464, which could be read as Kennedy for 1964, promoting a re-election bid. That plate went to a local carpenter named Sam Priven, who drove around the community w/a car w/"Kennedy" painted all over it. This plate is the one preceding Priven's in the sequence, w/"63" having significance given that it was the year the plates were produced and unbeknownst to the creators, the fateful year of JFK's assassination.
