3x5" on thin paper. Signed by Gallatin in upper right. Addressed to John Montgomery, Attorney General of Maryland. Gallatin was a Swiss financial genius who was the Treasury Secretary from 1801-1814 under Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. He is responsible for the formation of what is now known as the Ways and Means Committee. Vertical fold line in center, otherwise moderate wear and handling. VF. Comes w JSA LOA.
