Item Description
Single-sided 3.5x5.75" stiff cardboard string tag features image of waving Superman from the chest up, above unused pricing are w/"Superman" title/logo. One of two totally different cards like this, both being shown in Matetsky's The Adventures of Superman Collecting book. Issued during the Superman Bread Card promotion, in which a series of 24 cards (ACC# D143) were issued, one per loaf of bread. All are highly sought after. As rare as these cards are, promotional material from the time is infinitely rarer, this being one of just two examples we are aware of. Very rare. Back of card has strips of tape staining at top/bottom and front of card has thin strip of aging along upper left margin. Fine overall. Book example from The Adventures of Superman Collecting by Harry Matetsky. Danny Fuchs Collection.
