Original first printing domestic release 27x41" poster. Due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were four different printings of this Style A one-sheet poster. This is a first printing domestic release poster, which features "Style 'A'" notice at bottom right and bears NSS number 77/21-0 (while the following three printings feature 77-21 NSS number) w/o "Star Wars" title below it. PG rating notice present (international first printing posters do not have this notice). Soundtrack is mentioned in relatively small print but not the later edition produced for record stores. Poster has the appropriate NSS exhibition notice, a sharp and clear GAU and the 1977 copyright is correctly indented. No stray black lines near Luke Skywalker's belt. ©1977 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Iconic art by Tom Jung features more preliminary design of C-3PO. These posters were released w/some folded and some rolled. The example offered here has been rolled and shows scattered handling wear w/tape repair on back to 1.5" tear at upper right corner. Faint 6x7.5" area of moisture staining at lower left corner w/scattered margin wear. Fine overall. Would make for a nice framed display.
