Item Description
The Transformers: The Movie was released in North America on Aug. 8, 1986 and in the UK on Dec. 12, 1986. Amid the promotional push after the movie's release, both Optimus Prime and Megatron were offered as mail-away figures, shipped in plain brown cardboard boxes w/the usual styrofoam inserts as well as the added bonus of a "Movie Edition Certificate" and "Movie Edition Transformer" sticker w/Autobot seal. The offer was only available in 1986. AFA graded and encapsulated display features Megatron and his components displayed in situ within styrofoam tray, above cardboard mailer #12552 w/typed mailing label. Right of display includes mounted unused sticker, unused certificate and tape-sealed baggie containing unused sticker sheet and Hasbro booklet. Archival case.
