Item Description
16x20" on thick board. Dated June 15, 1933. In regards to the appointment of a J. Elliot Riddell to the Collector of Customs for Customs Collection District No. 42. Signed by Roosevelt in bottom right. Also signed by Dean Acheson, the acting Secretary of the Treasury in 1933. Acheson went on to serve as Secretary of State during the Truman Administration from 1949-1953. Even age toning w/faint scattered spotting. VF. Comes w/JSA LOA.
