Item Description
20x30" on thin white paper. Likely printed by Impact in Windsor. Promoting "A Genuine Old Fashioned Acton Rave" w/ "Wild Wally's Rock And Roll Show/ Plus Opal Butterfly And Evolution" on "Sat. 24 Jan" at Brunel University in London. Opal Butterfly included future Hawkwind drummer Simon King and future Hawkwind & Motorhead member Lemmy Killmister. Lemmy played in Opal Butterfly for a few months between 1969 and 1970 but was out of the band by the time they were featured in the film Groupie Girl at the end of 1970. Putting this early 1970 poster smack in midst of when he was playing guitar for the group. Faint age toning at bottom right corner in margin. Some vertical creasing at top right margin. Rolled w/overall light handling wear. VF. Rare.
