Pink Floyd was on the road working out songs from the forthcoming "Wish You Were Here" album a little less than three months from the album’s release. As one of the biggest touring bands of the era, they were always a massive draw and nearly 50,000 filled Three Rivers Stadium, then home of the first place Pittsburgh Pirates, who had only drawn a little over 8,000 attendees at a game the day prior.
