Item Description
7/8" w/ W&H back paper. We believe this to be a Prohibition-related button referencing the “Three Million League.” This was an organization allied w/ the Prohibition Party that sought to have three million Americans sign a document that they would only support a presidential candidate should he and/or his party’s platform endorse a clear Prohibition plank. It was founded in Indiana by Sumner Haynes and William Likins in 1911 w/ the intention of gathering three million signatures for the 1912 election. Only light wear. Exc. Wayne Otchis Collection.
