4.75" long plastic/metal pen pair that were from two-piece pen and pencil boxed sets by Windsor, early 1940s. Fountain pen w/screw-on cap has clip w/incised "Superman" name and pen tip is marked "14K." Yellow pen has partial .75" tall full body color decal of Superman in classic pose w/hands on hips. He stands underneath "Superman" comic book title logo. Decal is about 50% complete. Also includes a green pen missing decal and gold band around cap. These pens came in a variety of colors. The only boxed pen/pencil set we've offered in our 58 years sold for a record price of $4,174 in 2014. A very rare pair of 1940s Superman items. Danny Fuchs Collection.
