Item Description
2.5x3.75". The 1953 Bowman set consists of 160 cards. Noted for their domineering, vivid photographic images and considered among the most beautiful modern-era sets of baseball cards produced, the set offered facial details and uniform features never before seen on any predecessor.

Nelson Fox began his Major League career in 1949 with the Philadelphia Athletics as a speedy defensive-minded second baseman. From 1950-63, Fox would vastly improve his hitting while starring for the Chicago White Sox, leading the American League in base hits on four different occasions. Fox would finish his career with a batting average of .288 along with 1,279 runs scored and 790 RBI's. Nellie Fox was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. The autograph is distinct and written in blue pen. A review of the PSA/DNA pop report indicates that this signed copy is the only one graded at this level with only six others ever graded higher.
