Item Description
Lot of two. 1.25x5.25x8.75" and one .75x5x8.25" paper-covered cardboard pencil boxes, both featuring image of Superman flying with his name at lower right. One is embossed on textured paper and the other is printed on smooth paper. Larger box has slide-out tray and a worn metal protractor. No other contents. C. 1940s. Each is different color variety;  brown w/silver accents and red w/silver accents and have snap closure on front. Lt. aging/scattered wear w/corner tip wear and some scattered rubs. Spots of adhered paper on bottom of red box. Water stain on red lid and ink spots on brown lid. Lt. soiling inside from use. Good overall. Danny Fuchs Collection.
