Item Description
1.5" w/union bug at 6 o'clock. Mayor Warren Irelan was running for re-election in the Atlantic County, NJ city of Absecon. The city saw a population boom between 1950 from 2,355 to 4,320 residents by 1960. Suffice to say this button would have been extremely limited and distribution in a hyper local zone making survivors especially rare. Significant staining throughout. Fair. John Pendergrass Collection.
