Item Description
1.75" w/W&H back paper. Arapaho came into existence April 19, 1892, the day of the Cheyenne and Arapaho land opening. This button is from a July 4 celebration 12 years later and features two girls, in dresses, each holding an American flag on a pole and each holding the leash on a very large raccoon. We don't know how it relates, but in 1990, the raccoon became Oklahoma's official fur bearing animal. Very pale age on extreme edge 9-12 o’clock. Light normal surface wear in reflected light. VF and only our second offered. Rare.
