Item Description
1.5x2.25" Cuban card produced for the Aguilitas Cigarette brand and a follow up to the 1924-25 series. The baseball cards are a subset featuring 37 players from the Cuban Professional League. This extensive 900 card set also featured movie and stage stars, boxers, soccer players and other subjects.

Roberto Puig was the first cleanup hitter for the Cuban national team, batting in that slot and starting in center in the opener of the 1926 Central American Games. He was 1 for 4 and scored twice while not handling a chance in the field in a win over Mexico. He remained in cleanup in their other two games, both wins, though he was only 1 for 7; he had three putouts as well. In 1926-1927, he played briefly as a pro with the Alacranes of the Cuban Triangal League. He hit .300 while playing alongside Oscar Charleston in the outfield.
