Item Description
1.25" plus tabbed on brass rope frame and back paper by Schlechter’s  of Reading, Pa. Karl E. Katzwas the York, PA owner of Westend Brewery  and York Brewing Co. This button was created for Katz’s hosting in “York (May) 1904”  of 200 members of the Reading, PA Knights Templar Commandery #42. On the button, the fence boards read “Katz Is King” and “Nine Lives To Katz”. The cat atop the fence wears a crown while the upper right man in the moon face appears rather disgusted by this behavior. Only third seen in 58 years. Rare. Exc.
