Item Description
3.5" w/metal back and horizontal bar pin. Produced by Frank Allen Specialties in New York City. Razor-sharp detail on portrait w/bold contrast. Smooth surface w/high gloss. NM as made. Allen made some attempts to colorize this design on other known examples which have poorly executed toning making this high contrast black and white example among the nicest extant of the handful produced. The "Big Four" JFK buttons are steeped in fascinating history combined with extreme rarity and feature the most iconic candidate of the last half of the 20th century.
