Item Description
1.25" w/union bug at 6 o'clock. The Taft-Hartley Act was a 1947 law that helped to restrict the power of labor unions. It was vetoed by Truman, but Congress overrode the veto. It was vehemently opposed by the labor movement, including the Communist Party. Its repeal was one of the major planks in Henry Wallace's Progressive platform in 1948. Light scattered wear in reflected light. Still Exc. James Shaer Collection.
