By 1933, the Allentown & surrounding Lehigh Valley factories organized more than 10,000 workers in a much more widely documented strike. But in 1925 only 3,000 workers protested. It is a resonable assumption that included the women & children that Pennsylvania's silk industry relied so heavily upon.
