Item Description
10-7/8x16-1/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for story page 11 of Superman #391, published by DC Comics Jan. 1984. Art is by longtime Superman artist Curt Swan (1920-1996) w/inks by Dave Hunt (1942-2017). Page features five panels, w/first panel showing three images of Superman as he searches for the kidnapped Lana Lang. Second panel shows Jimmy Olsen consoling Clark Kent while third panel shows the Fortress of Solitude, where Vartox attempts to access the Supercomputer. Word balloons/captions are pasted stats (w/exception of third panel caption which is hand-lettered). Top margin has inked "S'Man" title abbreviation, month of publication and issue/page numbers. Top margin has been slightly trimmed, and both bottom corners have been clipped, none affecting art. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. Artboard exhibit scattered staining, more notable to top hald of page. Fine/VF overall.
