Item Description
2.5". No maker. Date range is July 17-August 1, 1963. On July 17, Kennedy held a news conference where he discussed the Space Race with the USSR. We've not been able to find information regarding a "Special Train" for JFK during this period, as he visited Los Angeles in June and September, w/ no record of a visit in July or August. Perhaps made weeks or months in advance of an expected trip that never ended up taking place. Only light wear. Exc. John Hillhouse Collection.
