10.75x14x3-5/8" deep cardboard box w/printed interior featuring "Star Wars" logo and X-Wing, designed to be assembled into counter display for Whitman/Marvel Treasury-sized Star Wars comics. Display comes w/22 Marvel Special Editions - Star Wars #1 (7 copies) and Star Wars #2 (15 copies), both published in 1977 and adapting George Lucas's Star Wars. Box has printed assembly instructions and appears to have never been assembled. Box shows scattered wear w/one corner partially crushed and main display flap having large crease. Creases to side panels of box. Box/display is VG/Fine. All but on comic (which is Marvel only, not Whitman/Marvel) have circular "$2.50" price sticker neatly added to front cover by publishing indicia. Varying degrees of handling wear, the Marvel only copy of issue #2 having moderate pinch creases to spine; VG overall. Rest of books have some scattered corner tip wear and minor pinch creases to spine. Fine to VF overall w/off-white/cream pages. The bottom copy of issue #2 has moderate wear to back cover wear it rubbed against staples holding bottom of display box together. This copy is VG. Scarce and first such display we've offered.
