Item Description
3.25" tall beautiful figurine by the famous German company, c.1932. This is No. 553 in the series w/incised number under base along w/"Rosenthal" company mark. Wonderfully expressive pose of Mickey Mouse playing instrument. This example has had color accents added at time of manufacture by Rosenthal, w/yellow color to hands and shoes, very lt. coloration to white portions of face (w/blue accents to pie eyes). All Rosenthal figurines are rare, particularly in the US as they were never distributed here. Rosenthals are considered to be the finest Mickey figurines ever produced. Figurine has some lt. dust soiling but is o/w bright, glossy and NM. Among the most desirable Mickey Mouse figurines, this example being even more coveted due to rare coloration, the first such example we have ever offered in our 58 years. A true Rosenthal rarity.
