Item Description
11x17" offset printed in red ink on thin yellow stock w/blank back. PNW flyer promoting concerts at Seattle Center Coliseum and Portland Meadows a "Benefit Performance For No On 9 Campaign" Aug. 22 and 23, 1991 featuring Nirvana. These concerts were rescheduled for Sept. 10 and 11, 1992 after the birth of Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean. Seven sets of staple holes most notably a small hole at top left affecting the "N" in "Nirvana." Fine. The Portland concert is listed as a "Benefit Performance For No On 9." The concert was in support of defeating the 1992 ballot measure requiring "All Governments In Oregon May Not Use Their Monies Or Properties To Promote, Encourage Or Facilitate Homosexuality, Pedophilia, Sadism Of Masochism." Ultimately the measure didn't pass and formed the basis for much of gay rights activism.
