Item Description
24-3/8x36-1/2" on thin lightly coated stock w/promoter Donald K Donald (DKD) logo in lower field.  AOR 4.251. Only light handling wear. Exc. DKD had a large marketing push to fill the huge Montreal- Olympic Stadium which led to a sell out of the huge 80,000 capacity venue. Design features text in English and French along w/a graphic of 'Aldie' the 40 foot inflatable pig floating above the stadium. This was the final night of the tour and throughout the show a handful of raucous attendees near the stage were setting off fireworks and disrupting the band causing Roger Waters to address the crowd multiple times. Later in the evening during the song "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" an angry Waters spit on a teenage fan who attempted to climb on the stage. The incident would become the seed for the bands next album The Wall. Waters later recalled the incident saying "... I Spat My Frustration In His Face. Later That Night, Back At The Hotel, Shocked By My Behavior, I Was Faced With A Choice. To Deny My Addiction (To The Frills Of Our Popularity) And Embrace That Comfortably Numb Magic-Less Existence Or Accept The Burden Of Insight, Take The Road Less Traveled And Embark On The Often Painful Journey To Discover Who I Was And Where I Fit. The Wall Was The Picture I Drew For Myself To Help Me Make That Choice."
