Item Description
36" long. c. 1930s-40s. Tapered steel cane with painted wood top. Top pulls up to reveal a 15" long steel shaft which holds an 11.5x17" cloth 48-star US flag. Below flag is attached a 1.5" tall wrap-around paper label reading "J.A.B. Madden/Specialties/Detroit/Pat. Pending." Below text is the "NRA" blue eagle logo with tiny text reading "Member/We Do Our Part." Flag has minimal handling creases/wear along right edge but o/w flag and label remain VF. Paint wear to wood top. Top locks into position when not revealing flag. Light corrosion on steel. A well-made, patriotic political item. VF.
