Item Description
Three comics all published by DC Comics. "Action Comics" #59 features classic Superman cover in which he rips off top of Nazi tank. Published Apr., 1943. Issue has age spotting, edge wear and spine wear with staple pull and tear though cover remains affixed. 3.25" diagonal crease at bottom right-hand corner with .75" tear. Good/VG. "Adventure Comics" #85 published Apr., 1943. Classic story by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby features Sandman and his teen sidekick Sandy the Golden Boy. Issue also features Starman and The Shining Knight. Issue has handling wear with pinch creases to spine, slight staple pull and tears and oxidation to staple. 1.75" tear at bottom left-hand corner. 1" tear running along bottom margin of most pages. Good/VG. "Flash Comics" #27 was published Mar., 1942. Hawkman cover by Shelly Moldoff with inset Flash portrait. Issue shows moderate wear with streaks of paper missing at spine which has noticeable roll. Staple pull/tears though cover remains attached. 1" tear along right-hand margin and smaller .5" tear. Good/VG.
