Item Description
This 1.25" rare historical souvenir pictures the globe with competing claimants of Pole discovery in 1909 showing Cook at left and Peary at right flanking the text "I Discovered The-." Serving as a three dimensional rebus is a 1-3/8" pointed piece of wood (shaped like Washington Monument) suspended from a thin wire. Reverse has Bastian paper. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Explorers Section #16. Comes with Hake's COA. N. Mint and displaying Mint. The only example we recall which actually has the attached pole. Rare.
