Item Description
2-3/8" blue on silver oval depicts 19th century steam engine and passenger cars below text Norfolk and Western Veterans Association. Reverse metal back with bar pin holds 2.5" ribbon. Ribbon has celluloid-covered, hand-lettered card of the employee "John J. Penn." Below in silver lettering with the top two words a little worn is the text "Fifth Annual Meeting/Colored Division/Roanoke, Va. Aug 29, 1936." Mint except for tiny loss of silvering. A unique personal badge certainly issued in a small quantity. Rare.
