Exquisitely hand-decorated porcelain sculpture atop wooden base has impressive overall size of 12.5x15x10" tall.  Sculpted by Enzo Arzenton.  He first started producing sculptures for the Laurenz Disney Collection in 1983 and continued to do so until he retired in 1999, production on all Disney pieces then ceased.  This piece was first released in 1990 with an issue price of $1,890.  The production run was supposed to be 2,500 pieces but as with nearly every piece in this line, final production was much more limited.  This particular piece had just 207 produced.  The underside of the wood base and individual issue number on accompanying certificate states it is 101/2,500 only because these pieces were prepared in advance to the actual production of the sculptures.  This sculpture incorporates some of the film's most popular characters including Mickey as Sorcerer's Apprentice, the Sorcerer Yen Sid, two brooms with buckets, ostrich, hippo, satyr and sprite.  Front edge has raised musical notes and anniversary scroll, metal plate attached to wood base below this.  Does not come with the original box but sculpture is Mint as issued.  An extraordinary sculpture which is a must-have for collectors of both Fantasia and Capodimonte.  From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
