Item Description
7/8” with W&H backpaper c. 1915. “26 Broadway” was also known as the Standard Oil Building, a 31-story designated landmark at the southern tip of Manhattan at Bowling Green. The first building was built in 1855 and designed by Francis H. Kimball to house the company in NYC when it moved from Cleveland. Essentially Mint and the only example we’ve seen.
